Not much has happened, the rose bushes are toast- like I knew they would be, whatever. anyhow. I'm leaving the garden for three weeks so I watered and I'll just hope all will be well. I have to come up with a good place for the new flower bed. The house will (soon) be under construction so it's hard to not plant.

May 17

I spread four bags of cocoa shells today. mostly in the front bed but some on the south bed behind the garage- near the sad transplanted rose bush. ugh. the bee balm should be good though- it's much bigger.

May 16

It's supposed to be near freezing tonight- so i had to take all the pots and put them into the garage. i spread three bags of cocoa shells.

May 15

Today i moved some hostas around, moved a rose bush, and transplanted a few succulents to the west front bed where the sedums will rule one day. We have this one Sedum that's supposed to be curly- whatever that means.

May 12

I added gravel to replace a paving stone for the cross path of the south bed.

I also planted white geraniums in every small pot I could find.

Today I planted asparagus ferns in the porch pots.
